Ok, so I get that dBm is a measure of signal strength and can directly be converted into mW of power coming out of the antenna, but I don't have anything to put it on a scale. This comes because I'm comparing Wireless APs, and I'm between two. One has a max output of 20dBm (100mW) the other with 23dBm (200mW). Hi alli have three unifi ac lite in one location , the transmit power are set to auto ...some one told me its a good practice not to use auto and High ...so my quesitons are :1- what does transmit power mean and why its important to adjust it ?2- in my inveronment which power should i use low or Transmit power range will be set to 5 - 30 dBm for 2.4 GHz and 8 - 30 dBm for 5 GHz if Enable Automatic power reduction is selected on the old radio settings page. If Always use 100% power is selected transmit power range will be set to 30 dBm for both bands.
